Senior Partner and Founder Fernando Salazar-Paredes, born in La Paz, Bolivia, December 18th, 1943, admitted in 1968, Bolivia.

 

Education: Universidad Mayor de San Andrés (1968). International Law Commission, Geneva (1969). Former Member of Congress, Minister of State and Ambassador, is Professor of Private International Law (Conflicts of Law) and Foreign Policy Universidad Mayor de San Andrés, the most important university of Bolivia and is also a Postgraduate Professor at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar. Has been a permanent staff member of the United Nations Organization, ONUDI and UNESCO.  Has performed as Bolivian plenipotentiary before the Interamerican Conference Specialized in International Private Law, CIDIP, having been President of the CIDIP-III. Was Chairman, Organization of American States Permanent Council, Chairman of the Interamerican Social and Economic Council, Chairman of the paramount body of the Cartagena Agreement, Andean Group’s Commission, Chairman of the Board for the Andean Development Corporation and Negotiator for the Treaty of Montevideo (Montevideo based Latin American Integration Association, ALADI).  Has written more than a dozen of books related to international matters, international law and foreign policy. Presently he is a member of the Permanent Court of Arbitrage in The Hague.
