Our Department specialized in Medical and Health Law, offers a wide range of services specialized in the area of any health matter.

In virtue of this, we find ourselves with the capability of giving efficient juridical support, provided by a technical team specialized in the Bolivian Medical Health System.

We have observed that currently in the judicial environment there has been and increase in the number of complaints, and claims on matters caused by negligence and/or medical mal praxis.

These types of complaints have been mainly identified as criminal complaints, but on the other hand, the patients or people who have seen themselves involved in these matters also seek civil claims for the indemnification of the damage caused, as well as undertaking administrative complaints before the various State agencies.

It is for these reasons that Salazar, Salazar & Asociados Soc. Civ. has seen it convenient to develop a department specialized in the attention of legal/juridical matters for complaints of Mal Praxis, negligence, lack of expertise and other complaints.

In this context, the department has two main functions, those of Prevention and Reparation.

• Prevention: Orientation programs have been designed for professionals of any and all fields of the health area, specifically to doctors, about procedures and methods of attention that reduce eventual risks, claims, or repairs.
• Repair:  In the area of reparation, the department counts with the capacity and experience for the attention of penal, civil and administrative complaints.

In the technical field, we base ourselves in the presentation, evaluation, supervision and the monitoring of projects and programs in the juridical field of health including technical audits and the training of human resources.
